Ajoy Kumar Sinha, born on January 4, 1966, is a 1996 batch IAS officer of the Punjab cadre. He holds an M.Sc. and B.Sc. and is proficient in English and Hindi. Currently, he serves as the Principal Secretary at Punjab in the Department of Power since December 6, 2024. Throughout his career, he has held multiple key positions including Principal Secretary to the Government of Punjab, Secretary on inter-cadre deputation, Chief Administrator, Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, Special Secretary, Additional Commissioner, District Collector and Magistrate, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, and Chairman and Managing Director. He continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
