Ajit Kumar, born on November 11, 1977, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2006 Kerala cadre. He holds a B.A. from CSJM University Kanpur and a B.E. degree. Currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), New Delhi since November 24, 2025, Ajit has held various positions including Resident Commissioner, Secretary, Director, Deputy Secretary, OSD to Minister, Collector and District Magistrate, Project Director, Special Officer, Sub Collector, and Assistant Collector. He is proficient in English and Hindi and continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
