Ajit Kesari, born on February 3, 1965, is a 1990 batch IAS officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre. He holds a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering and a postgraduate degree in Engineering. Currently, he serves as the Additional Chief Secretary in the Finance Department at Bhopal since October 31, 2022. Throughout his career, Kesari has held various positions including Principal Secretary, Rehabilitation Commissioner, Managing Director, Commissioner, Secretary, Chief Electoral Officer, Project Director, District Collector, Additional Secretary, and OSD to Minister. He is proficient in English and Hindi and continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
