Ajit K Kapas, born on 23 January 1943, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1984 batch, West Bengal cadre. He holds a graduate degree in History. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Additional District Magistrate, Director, Deputy Jute Commissioner, and Joint Secretary. His most recent position was Director at Nalgonda, Telangana, from 14 May 2002 to 31 January 2003, within the Municipal Administration department.
