Ajay V Nayak, born on April 12, 1958, is a retired IAS officer from the 1984 Bihar cadre. He holds a graduate degree in Pharmacy. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Principal Secretary, Secretary, Managing Director, Commissioner, District Collector and Magistrate, Director, Private Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Deputy Commissioner, Deputy Development Commissioner, and Sub-Divisional Officer. His most recent position was Chief Election Officer in the Election Department from April 15, 2013, to April 30, 2018.
