Ajay Tirkey, born on December 17, 1963, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1987 Madhya Pradesh cadre. He held the position of Secretary at the Ministry of Rural Development, New Delhi, from August 1, 2020, to December 31, 2023. His educational qualifications include an M.B.A. in Business Administration, a postgraduate degree in Business Administration, and a graduate degree in English. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities such as Secretary, Special Secretary, Additional Secretary, Joint Secretary, Principal Secretary to Governor, Managing Director, CEO, Commissioner, District Collector, Deputy Secretary, and Assistant Collector.
