Throughout his career, he has held various positions including Managing Director, Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Principal Secretary to Government, Secretary, Adviser Director Equivalent, Deputy Commissioner, and Assistant Commissioner. He is proficient in English, Hindi, and Kannada. Ajai Seth continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
