Achalesh Maity, born on 16 September 1935, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1981 batch, West Bengal cadre. He holds a graduate degree and served in various capacities during his career. Notably, he was the Joint Secretary in the Industries Department from 1 July 1990 to 1 September 1993. Prior to this, he held the position of Additional District Magistrate. His service in the IAS reflects his commitment to administrative roles within the West Bengal cadre.
