Achal Kumar Jyoti, born on 23 January 1953, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1975 Gujarat cadre. He holds postgraduate and graduate degrees in Chemistry. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Joint Secretary, Chief Secretary to Government, Additional Chief Secretary, Managing Director, Principal Secretary, Chairman, Secretary, Member, Commissioner, Director, Deputy General Manager, District Collector, Deputy Secretary, and Assistant Collector. His most recent position was Election Commissioner at Gujarat from 13 May 2015 to 31 January 2013. He was associated with the Law and Justice Department during his service.
