A Venu Prasad, born on 15 July 1963, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1991 Punjab cadre. He holds an M.A. in Public Administration, an M.B.A. in Finance, and a postgraduate degree in Soil Science. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Additional Chief Secretary to Minister (from 12 March 2022) in the Chief Minister's Office, Principal Secretary to Government of Punjab, Secretary to Government, Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, Managing Director, Chief Administrator, Special Secretary, Registrar, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Joint Secretary, and Sub-Divisional Officer.
