A V Gokak, born on 12 August 1940, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1964 Maharashtra cadre. He holds a graduate degree and a postgraduate degree in Economics. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Secretary, Managing Director, Joint Secretary, Administrator, Vice President, District Collector, Deputy Secretary, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister, Director, Under Secretary, and Assistant Collector. His most recent designation was Secretary at Maharashtra in the Department of Chemicals and Fertilizers.
