A V Dean, born on November 24, 1930, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1981 Bihar cadre. She holds postgraduate and graduate degrees in Hindi. During her career, she served in various capacities including Settlement Officer, Junior Scale, and Joint Secretary. Her most recent position was Joint Secretary in the Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department from June 1, 1987, to November 1, 1988.
