A S Prakasa Rao, born on 19 September 1942, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1967 Maharashtra cadre. He held the position of Executive Director at Maharashtra in the Department of Petroleum and Natural Gas. His extensive career included roles such as Divisional Commissioner, Commissioner, Secretary, Chairman Director, Additional Commissioner, Regional Controller, Joint Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Under Secretary, District Collector, CEO, and SDO. He holds a Diploma in Finance, a Graduate degree in English, and a postgraduate degree in Mathematics.
