A Ramalingam, born on June 3, 1959, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1996 Tamil Nadu cadre. A graduate by education, he served in various capacities including Deputy Secretary, Deputy Commissioner, Joint Secretary to the Chief Minister, District Collector, Director, Joint Commissioner, Officer on Special Duty to Minister, Managing Director, and Additional Secretary. His most recent position was Commissioner in the Art and Culture Department from May 2, 2017, to June 30, 2019. Throughout his career, he contributed to multiple administrative roles within the Tamil Nadu government before retiring from service.
