A R Sukumar, born on August 9, 1958, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1984 batch of the Andhra Pradesh cadre. He holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Agriculture. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Principal Secretary, Special Commissioner, Commissioner & Director, Vice Chairman, Additional Chief Secretary, Joint Secretary, Joint Collector, and Sub-Divisional Officer. His most recent position was Principal Secretary to the Government in the Public Enterprises Department from May 3, 2017, to August 31, 2018.
