A Prasad, born on 23 December 1939, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1963 batch, Gujarat cadre. He holds a postgraduate degree in Economics and a graduate degree in Economics. Over his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector, Joint Secretary, Director, Commissioner, Managing Director, Additional Secretary Equivalent, Additional Chief Secretary, and Chairman. His most recent position was Principal Secretary in the Human Resources Department of Gujarat, beginning 1 March 1998. Throughout his tenure, he contributed to multiple administrative roles within the state government before retiring from service.
