A M Sharma, an IAS officer of the 2008 Gujarat cadre, was born on August 11, 1965. He holds a P.G. Diploma and M.Sc. in Dairy Production from Gujarat University. Currently, he serves as the Principal Secretary to the Hon'ble Governor of Gujarat at Gandhinagar since February 5, 2024, in the General Administration Department. His previous roles include Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Collector, Director, District Development Officer, and Chief Executive Officer. Sharma has received awards such as the POSHAN Umbrella for Supply Chain through Tech Innovation and the SKOCH Order of Merit (e-RATION). He is proficient in Gujarati.
