A M Nimbalkar, born on 14 February 1944, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1967 batch of the Maharashtra cadre. He holds a graduate and postgraduate degree in Political Science. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Assistant Collector, Sub-Divisional Officer, District Collector, Director, Commissioner, Joint Secretary, Secretary, Additional Secretary, Special Secretary, and Secretary to the Chief Minister. He also held leadership roles such as Vice Chairman, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and Director General. His most recent position was Chief Secretary to the Government of Maharashtra.
