A Lakshman Rao, born on 16 July 1932, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1981 batch, Andhra Pradesh cadre. He holds a graduate degree in Zoology. Over his career, he served in various capacities including Secretary to Commissioner, Special Officer, Joint Collector, Deputy Secretary, Special Deputy Collector, and Junior Scale positions. His most recent appointment was as Under Secretary in the Department of Home from 1 February 1989 to 1 July 1990.
