A L Bongirwar, born on 18 May 1943, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1966 Maharashtra cadre. He holds a graduate and postgraduate degree in Mathematics. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector, Municipal Commissioner, Divisional Commissioner, Secretary to the Chief Minister, Development Commissioner, Joint Secretary, Additional Secretary, Principal Secretary, and Chief Secretary to the Government. He also held leadership roles such as Managing Director, Joint Managing Director, Deputy Secretary, CEO, and Assistant Collector. His most recent designation was Chairman at Maharashtra in the Department of Shipping and Waterways.
