A Koteswara Rao, born on December 8, 1949, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1993 batch of the Andhra Pradesh cadre. He holds a postgraduate degree in Zoology. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Joint Collector, District Collector, Deputy Secretary, Joint Secretary, Additional Commissioner, Secretary to Commissioner, Director & Managing Director, and Additional Secretary. His most recent position was Additional Secretary in the Backward Classes Welfare Department from January 30, 2008, to December 31, 2009. Rao’s extensive service reflects a diverse administrative experience within the Andhra Pradesh government.
