A K Bhattacharya, born on August 11, 1937, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1982 batch, West Bengal cadre. He holds a graduate degree in History. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Director, Additional District Magistrate, Secretary, and Deputy Secretary. His most recent position was Deputy Secretary in the Law and Justice Department from September 1, 1992, to August 1, 1995.
