A J Shah, born on 12 December 1956, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1999 batch of the Gujarat cadre. He holds a graduate degree in Commerce. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Managing Director, District Collector, District Development Officer, Joint Commissioner, and Secretary. His most recent position was Commissioner at Gandhinagar, Gujarat, from 23 February 2015 to 31 December 2016. He was associated with the Higher Education Department during his service.
