A Dasgupta, born on December 10, 1929, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the West Bengal cadre, batch 0. He holds a graduate degree and a postgraduate degree in Botany. Throughout his career, he served in the Local Self Government Department, holding positions including Deputy Secretary and Director. He was appointed Director from January 1, 1986, to December 1, 1987.
