A Bhattacharya, born on December 6, 1955, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1983 Kerala cadre. He holds a graduate degree in Political Science and postgraduate qualifications in International Affairs and Political Science. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Under Secretary, Managing Director, General Manager, Sub-Divisional Officer, and Assistant Collector. His most recent position was Deputy Secretary in the Defence Department from July 1, 1993, to July 1, 1994.
