The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Yuvraj Ravindra Patil, IRTS (2012), as Director in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) under the Central Staffing Scheme.

According to an Office Memorandum issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on August 19, 2026, Patil has been appointed on a “lateral shift” basis. The appointment will be for the balance period of his five-year deputation tenure at the Director-level, up to March 15, 2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The ACC approved the appointment based on the recommendation of the Civil Services Board (CSB). Patil is currently serving under the DoPT and will now take up his new assignment in DPIIT, the key department responsible for policy and promotion of industry and internal trade.

The DoPT memorandum, issued by Deputy Secretary Ajit Kumar Ranjan, has been forwarded to the Prime Minister’s Office, Cabinet Secretariat, and DPIIT for necessary action. DPIIT has also been requested to forward a copy of the formal notification of appointment once issued.
