Newly sworn-in Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Thursday appointed V Sheshadri, a 1999-batch IAS officer who earlier worked in the Prime Minister’s Office for nearly six years, as Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Office.
Sheshadri served in the PMO as Joint Secretary.
“A brilliant choice as he is an outstanding officer with high integrity,” a senior officer told The Secretariat.
According to official sources in Hyderabad, the new state government is likely to make sweeping changes in the state administration and the police department.
Chief Minister Reddy also appointed a 1994-batch IPS officer B Shivadhar Reddy as the new intelligence chief of the state. He was also the first intelligence chief of the newly formed state in 2014.
Revanth Reddy took oath as the second chief minister of Telangana at a public event in Hyderabad on Thursday.
