Manish Mishra Appointed Deputy Secretary in the Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals

According to an Office Memorandum issued by the DoPT on 16 July 2026, Mishra, who was on compulsory wait in the Department of Personnel & Training, has been selected for the central deputation post.

His appointment will be for a period of four years from the date he assumes charge of the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The appointment has been approved under the Central Staffing Scheme, through which officers from various state cadres are deputed to key positions in the Government of India to strengthen policy formulation and administration across ministries.
