Major Reshuffle: 26 IAS Officers Transferred In Madhya Pradesh

In a major administrative move, the Madhya Pradesh government has transferred 26 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, including 14 District Collectors and a Divisional Commissioner.

The late-night administrative overhaul, approved after a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, aims to strengthen governance and administrative efficiency across the state. Interestingly, the transfers come ahead of the census process scheduled to begin on April 16. 

One of the most significant changes in the reshuffle is the appointment of Kaushalendra Vikram Singh, an IAS officer of the 2010 batch, who was serving as Bhopal Collector, as Secretary to the Chief Minister.

He has also been given an additional charge as Commissioner-cum-Director, Town and Country Planning.

Priyank Mishra, who was serving as Collector of Dhar, has been appointed as the Collector of Bhopal. This is one of the most crucial administrative postings in the state.

Sources stated that changes have been made to bring administrative dynamism at the district level.

Key Collector-Level Changes

Rajeev Ranjan Meena has been posted as the Collector of Dhar, Somesh Mishra is the new Collector of Narmadapuram, and Narendra Kumar Suryavanshi has been appointed the Collector of Rewa. 

Pratibha Pal is the new Collector of Sagar, while Neha Meena will serve as the Collector of Seoni, and Rakhi Sahay has been posted in Umaria. 

Sheela Dahima is posted as Sheopur Collector, while Bidisha Mukherjee is the new Collector of Maihar.

Administrative Changes

Sonia Meena is the new Additional Secretary, Finance Department. Krishna Gopal Tiwari has been appointed the Commissioner, Social Justice & Disabled Welfare, Bhopal. Shilpa Gupta is the new Secretary, Home Department, while Abhishek Singh will serve as the Commissioner of Public Instruction & Secretary, School Education. 

Ravindra Kumar Choudhary has been posted as the Additional Secretary, Narmada Valley Development & Water Resources, while Dharanendra Kumar Jain has been appointed as the Additional Secretary, Aviation Department.

Sandeep G R has been posted as the Labour Commissioner, Indore.

Notably, five women officers have been appointed as district collectors, with three taking charge of a district for the first time.

Rakhi Sahay has been posted as the Collector of Umaria, while Sheela Dahima has been given charge of Sheopur, and Bidisha Mukherjee has been transferred as Maihar Collector. These postings mark their first assignments as District Collectors. Pratibha Pal has been appointed as Collector of Sagar after serving in Rewa.
