The Maharashtra government on Tuesday issued a major transfer order involving 12 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers across various departments and districts, reshuffling senior bureaucrats in key positions related to urban development, industry, health, municipal administration and tribal development.
The administrative overhaul includes important appointments in Mumbai-based agencies such as CIDCO, MMRDA, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) and the National Health Mission (NHM). Several senior officers have been entrusted with new responsibilities, while several young IAS officers have been posted to district-level leadership roles as Chief Executive Officers of Zilla Parishads and Project Officers in Integrated Tribal Development Projects (ITDPs).
