In an order issued on March 25, the Haryana government has transferred several senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and Haryana Civil Service (HCS) officers with immediate effect.
In a major reshuffle, the Haryana government has transferred 21 IAS officers and 42 HCS officers.
Amit Kumar Agrawal (IAS, 2003) has been appointed as Member-Secretary, Kurukshetra Development Board, Kurukshetra, in addition to his current duties.
Geeta Bharti (IAS, 2005) has been posted as the Commissioner, Hisar Division, Hisar, relieving Ravi Prakash Gupta.
Narhari Singh Banger (IAS, 2011) has been posted as Managing Director, CONFED. Satbir Singh (2018) batch has been given the charge of Director, Fire Services, and CEO, Ayushman Bharat Haryana. Vandana Disodia, Director Skill Development & Industrial Training, has been shifted to the Home Department as Additional Secretary, and will also serve as Managing Director of the Scheduled Castes Finance Corporation.
Lakshit Sareen (IAS, 2021), who was serving in Sonipat, has been shifted to Hansi as Additional Deputy Commissioner and District Municipal Commissioner.
In the HCS cadre, postings span municipal administration, cooperative sugar mills, and sub-divisional roles, indicating a broader administrative realignment at the grassroots level.
The order was issued by Anurag Rastogi, Chief Secretary to the Haryana government, on 25 March 2026.
The transfers are aimed at enhancing administrative efficiency and ensuring improved governance across the state.
The reshuffle is also expected to aid the state government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen district and departmental administration, and streamline public service delivery.
Earlier, the state government had transferred six IAS officers. Anshaj Singh (IAS, 2008), who was the Director-General, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, and Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department, was posted as Advisor, Civil Aviation, Haryana, and Secretary, Civil Aviation Department.
