Gujarat Transfers Two IAS Officers; Roopwant Singh Appointed State Tax Chief

The Gujarat government on Wednesday made a minor bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring two senior IAS officers and assigning them to key positions in the state administration. Roopwant Singh (IAS: 2003), Managing Director of Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC), has been appointed Chief Commissioner of State Tax, while Alok Kumar Pandey (IAS: 2006), Commissioner of Relief and Ex-officio Secretary in the Revenue Department, has been posted as Secretary, Tribal Development Department.
