The Gujarat Home Department has issued a major reshuffle involving 10 IPS and State Police Service (SPS) officers, with four IPS officers being appointed as Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) in different divisions, while six SPS officers have been transferred and posted as Commandants in various State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) groups. The order has been issued with immediate effect.
Among the IPS officers, Mansi R. Meena (GJ:2023) has been appointed ASP, Viramgam Division; Mausam Harshadbhai Mehta (GJ:2023) has been appointed ASP, Deodar Division; Prakhar Kumar (GJ:2024) has been appointed ASP, Khambhalia Division; and Karankumar Mansukhbhai Panna (GJ:2024) has been appointed ASP, Limkheda Division.
The SPS reshuffle covers six SRPF groups. J.I. Vasava has been posted as Commandant, SRPF Group-9, Vadodara; D.M. Chauhan as Commandant, Group-3, Madana, Banaskantha; Prakashkumar Vishnuprasad Raval as Commandant, Group-4, Pavdi, Dahod; and B.L. Desai as Commandant, Group-5, Godhra. Two more SPS officers, H.P. Doshi and L.B. Zala, have also been assigned Commandant responsibilities at SRPF Group-13, Rajkot and Group-11, Vav, Surat respectively.
The order thus brings simultaneous changes in field policing as well as the SRPF command structure, covering postings across Viramgam, Deodar, Khambhalia, Limkheda, Vadodara, Banaskantha, Dahod, Godhra, Rajkot and Surat.
