Centre Appoints Chhattisgarh-Cadre IPS Officer As NIA Inspector General

The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has approved the appointment of 2003-batch Chhattisgarh-cadre IPS officer Sundarraj P as Inspector General in the National Investigation Agency (NIA). In a communication dated June 16, 2026, the Centre requested the Chhattisgarh government to relieve the officer immediately so that he can take charge of his new assignment at the country's premier counter-terror investigation agency.
