In a series of bureaucratic reshuffles at the Centre, the government has decided to give additional charges and extend the Central deputation of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers of different batches and cadres.
In an order, the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) said that the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Department of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare to entrust Sagar Hanuman Singh with the additional charge of the post of Director General (JS level), National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management, Hyderabad. Hanuman Singh currently holds the post of Director General, National Institute of Plant Health Management (NIPHM).
In a separate order, the DoPT said that the ACC has also approved the proposal of the Department of Economic Affairs for the extension of Central deputation of Baldeo Purushartha, Joint Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, for a period of one year beyond March 11, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The ACC has also approved the proposal by the Department of Commerce to entrust the additional charge of the post of Development Commissioner, Special Economic Zone, Kandla, to Dnyaneshwar B. Patil, who currently holds the post of Development Commissioner, Santa Cruz Exclusive Export Processing Zone (SEEPZ SEZ), Mumbai. This is for a period of nine months, with effect from September 28, 2025, to July 27, 2026, or until the appointment of a regular incumbent or further orders, whichever is earlier.
In an another decision, the DoPT said that the ACC has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship for the extension of Central deputation, under the central staffing scheme, to Amit Meena, who is posted as Director in the Ministry, for a period of two years beyond March 30, 2026, and up to March 30, 2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Meena has been on Central deputation from March 31, 2021.
