Hemant Kumar Patil’s Central Deputation Extended Till August 2028; Sports Department Secretary’s Charge Given to Pallavi Jain Govil During Hari Ranjan Rao’s Leave.
In the first decision, the ACC approved the proposal of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs to extend the central deputation tenure of Hemant Kumar Patil (IOFS:2002), Director in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, for a further period of two years beyond August 15, 2026, up to August 15, 2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Patil has been serving on central deputation since August 16, 2021, under the Central Staffing Scheme. The extension ensures continuity in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs at a time when corporate governance, compliance and regulatory reforms remain key policy priorities.
In a separate order, the competent authority approved the assignment of an additional charge of Secretary, Department of Sports to Pallavi Jain Govil (IAS: MP Cadre, 1994 batch), who is currently serving as Secretary, Department of Youth Affairs.
She will hold the additional responsibility with immediate effect until June 14, 2026, during the leave period of Hari Ranjan Rao (IAS: MP Cadre, 1994 batch), the regular Secretary of the Department of Sports.
The appointments reflect the Centre’s ongoing efforts to ensure continuity in key administrative positions across ministries and departments.
