The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the final results of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025. The top three candidates in the All India Ranking (AIR) are: Anuj Agnihotri from Rajasthan, Rajeshwari Suve M. from Karnataka, and Akansh Dhull from Haryana, respectively.
The results were declared following the written examination held in August 2025 and the Personality Test (interviews) conducted between December 2025 and February 2026.
According to an official notification issued by the UPSC, 958 candidates have been recommended for appointment to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and various Central Services under Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’.
The recommended candidates belong to various categories. Of the 958 candidates, 317 are from the general category, 104 from the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 306 from the Other Backward Classes (OBC), 158 from the Scheduled Castes (SC), and 73 from the Scheduled Tribes (ST).
The list also includes candidates under the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) categories. Among them, 10 candidates fall under PwBD-1, 14 under PwBD-2, nine under PwBD-3, and nine under PwBD-5.
The UPSC said that the claims of candidates regarding reservation under EWS, OBC, SC, ST, and PwBD categories are subject to verification.
The government had reported vacancies across services. A total of 1,087 officers are to be recruited to fill vacancies. This includes 180 vacancies in the IAS, 55 in the IFS, and 150 in the IPS.
In addition, 507 vacancies are in Central Services Group ‘A’, while 195 posts are in the Group ‘B’ services. The vacancy distribution includes 446 posts in the general category, 104 for EWS, 306 for OBC, 158 for SC, and 73 for ST candidates.
Appointments to various services will be made based on the availability of vacancies and in accordance with the provisions of the CSE Rules, 2025.
The UPSC said that in accordance with Rule 20(4) and Rule 20(5) of the CSE Rules 2025, it has maintained a consolidated reserve list of 258 candidates.
The reserve list comprises 129 candidates from the general category, 26 from EWS, 86 from OBC, eight from SC, and six from ST categories, along with three candidates from PwBD categories.
The Commission has also prepared an extended list under the same provisions of the examination rules, according to which the candidature of 348 recommended candidates has been kept provisional, while the results of two candidates have been withheld.
Candidates seeking clarification regarding the examination or recruitment process may contact the UPSC facilitation counter at the Commission’s campus between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm on working days.
The final results are available on the official UPSC website, and the marks of candidates will be uploaded within 15 days of the declaration of the results. The Hindi version of the result notification will be released separately.
