Kaushik Bhattacharya, born on 19 July 1982, is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 2009 batch, West Bengal cadre. He holds a B.Sc. degree from Calcutta University. Currently, he serves as the Excise Commissioner of West Bengal, a position he has held since 4 January 2022. Throughout his career, Bhattacharya has held various roles including Special Secretary, Managing Director, District Magistrate, Joint Secretary, Additional District Magistrate, Sub Divisional Officer, Executive Magistrate, Assistant Collector and Magistrate. He is proficient in Bengali and English and continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
