He holds a B.Sc. in Physics and is currently serving as Chairperson of the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority, Mumbai, under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways since 12 October 2025. His previous roles include Chief Development Officer, District Collector and Magistrate, Divisional Commissioner, Special Secretary, Secretary, Joint Secretary, and Staff Officer to the Chief. He is proficient in English and Hindi and continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
