Uttar Pradesh Government Transfers 20 Senior IPS Officers

According to the orders issued by the State government, Additional Director General (ADG) of Prayagraj Zone Sanjeev Gupta has been removed from his post and attached to Lucknow. He has been replaced by Jyoti Narayan, who was earlier posted at Police Training School (PTS) Jalaun and has now been given charge of the Prayagraj Zone.

In Lucknow, Joint Commissioner of Police Amit Verma has been shifted to the Economic Offences Wing (EOW), while Aparna Kumar has been appointed as the new Joint Commissioner of Police, Lucknow.

Meanwhile, Kiran S., who recently returned from Central deputation, has been posted as Inspector General (IG) of the Lucknow range.

Major Reshuffle

ADG (Human Rights) Ram Kumar, a 1995-batch IPS officer, has been assigned the responsibility of ADG, Logistics, and he has been replaced by Ram Kumar.

The State government has also relieved 2000-batch IPS officer Prashant Kumar from the charge of ADG, Police Headquarters; he will now hold only the responsibility of ADG, Administration.

Similarly, Tarun Gaba has been promoted in situ to the rank of ADG, from his earlier position of IG (Security).

ADG Kanpur Ashutosh Kumar has been posted as the ADG in the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board.

Modak Rajesh D. Rao, IG, Lucknow Railway, has been appointed as IG, Establishment, while IG R.K. Bhardwaj from the Buildings and Welfare Department has been posted as IG, Lucknow Railway.

2008-batch IPS officer Akhilesh Kumar Nigam has been promoted and appointed as the IG, CID. Earlier, he was serving as the DIG in the CID. N. Kolanchi, IG, Prayagraj, has been removed from his post and appointed as IG, Prayagraj Railway.

New Appointments

From the waiting list, 2011-batch officer Mohammad Imran has been posted as the DIG, Buildings and Welfare, Lucknow. DIG, UP-112, Vijay Dhull, has been appointed as Additional Commissioner of Police, Prayagraj.

Rajeev Malhotra has been appointed as IG, UPSIFS, while Rohan P. Kanay has been posted as DIG, Special Investigation, Lucknow.

IG, Technical Services, Anand Sureshrao Kulkarni, has been transferred and appointed as IG, Anti-Corruption Organisation, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow.

Santosh Kumar Mishra, who was attached to the Office of the Director General of Police at the Police Headquarters, has been posted as the DIG, PTS Jalaun.
