Two IAS Transferred in Gujarat; Shalini Agrawal Shifted After Long Tenure

Appointed as Managing Director of GUVNL after being shifted from the post of Surat Municipal Commissioner; Nagarajan gets a new posting in her place

The Gujarat government has effected a transfer of two senior civil servants, including 2005-batch officers Shalini Agrawal and M. Nagarajan. The reshuffle has been ordered by Dr Anju Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary, General Administration Department.

Shalini Agrawal, who had been serving at the Surat Municipal Corporation for the past three years, has been appointed as Managing Director of Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL), Vadodara. The post was being held as an additional charge by Jenu Devan.

Meanwhile, M. Nagarajan, who was serving as Managing Director of the Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) in Ahmedabad, has been appointed as the Municipal Commissioner of Surat.

On the other hand, following Nagarajan’s transfer, 2004-batch IAS officer Dr Rajendra Kumar, who is currently serving as Transport Commissioner, has been given additional charge as Managing Director of GSRTC. He will hold the additional responsibility until a regular appointment is made.
