Tamil Nadu Overhauls Administrative Setup With Fresh IAS Postings

Sajjansingh R. Chavan, who was serving as Secretary to the Youth Welfare and Sports Development Department, has been shifted as the Secretary to the Governor, according to official orders issued by the state government.

Among other changes, former Chennai Collector Rashmi Siddharth Zagade has been posted as Special Secretary to the Higher Education Department. Har Sahay Meena, Principal Secretary and Vice-Chairman of Science City, has been appointed Commissioner of Land Reforms.

Ajay Yadav, Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Cements Corporation Limited, has been named Commissioner of Milk Production and Dairy Development. He will also hold an additional charge as Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Cooperative Milk Producers’ Federation Limited (Aavin).

J Vijaya Rani, Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Warehousing Corporation, has been transferred as Director of Horticulture and Plantation Crops. She replaces P. Kumaravel Pandian, who has been posted as Member-Secretary of the State Planning Commission.

P Rathinasamy, former Ariyalur Collector, has been appointed Director of Technical Education, replacing S. Visakan, who moves to Science City as Vice-Chairman.

Former Tirunelveli Collector R. Sukumar has been posted as Director of Stationery and Printing.

A. John Louis, who headed the Milk Production and Dairy Development Department and Aavin, has been transferred as Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Warehousing Corporation.

T Anbalagan, formerly Director of Sugar and Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Sugar Corporation Limited, has been appointed Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Tamil Nadu Maritime Board.

J.U. Chandrakala, former Ranipet Collector, will take over as Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Cements Corporation Limited.

In other postings, V. Siva Krishnamurthy, Deputy Commissioner (Works) of the Greater Chennai Corporation, has been named Joint Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board, while R. Anamika, Joint Commissioner of Municipal Administration, has been appointed Joint Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board.

At the district level, former Theni Collector Ranjeet Singh has been posted as Tenkasi Collector, while Durga Moorthi, previously Namakkal Collector, has been transferred as Dindigul Collector.
