Tamil Nadu Government Makes Major IAS Reshuffle
As per an order issued by Chief Secretary M. Sai Kumar, several senior IAS officers across crucial departments were transferred and given new postings

The Tamil Nadu government on Monday carried out a major reshuffle, transferring and posting several senior IAS officers across crucial departments, including Municipal Administration, Water Resources, Public Works, Revenue, Energy, and Transport.
The orders were issued by Chief Secretary M. Sai Kumar, dated May 18, 2026.
As part of the reshuffle, Gagandeep Singh Bedi was appointed Additional Chief Secretary to the Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department, while P. Amudha was posted as Additional Chief Secretary to the Cooperation, Food and Consumer Protection Department.
Senior IAS officer Satyabrata Sahoo was transferred as Principal Secretary to the Water Resources Department, and Shunchonngam Jatak Chiru was appointed Principal Secretary to the Public Works Department.
