The Telangana Government on Friday appointed Sanjay Jaju, IAS (1992 batch), as the new Chief Secretary to the Government of Telangana. The appointment was notified through G.O.Rt. No. 911 issued by the General Administration Department.

Jaju will succeed K. Ramakrishna Rao, IAS (1991 batch), who is set to retire from service on June 30, 2026 (afternoon). The notification stated that the appointment will be published in the extraordinary issue of the Telangana Gazette.

The order, issued in the name of the Governor of Telangana, marks a key administrative transition at the state’s highest bureaucratic level. Sanjay Jaju is expected to assume office from July 1, 2026, and will head the state bureaucracy, overseeing policy implementation and administrative coordination across departments.
