Reshuffle in Gujarat Forest Department

Key Appointments and Transfers:

Dr. Jaipal Singh, IFS (GJ-RR-1991) has been appointed as the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Wildlife, Gandhinagar. He will also hold additional charges of the Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Land, Administration & I.T., and Director, Gujarat Environment Management Institute (GEMI), Gandhinagar until further notice.

R. K. Sugoor, IFS (GJ-RR-1995), previously the Director of GEER Foundation, Gandhinagar, is now the Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Social Forestry, Gandhinagar and will also serve as the Chairman of the Gujarat Biodiversity Board.

C. K. Sonwane, IFS (GJ-RR-1999) will take over the additional charge of Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Development & Management, Gandhinagar, replacing Dr. Jaipal Singh.

S. Maniswara Raja, IFS (GJ-RR-2002) has been transferred from Valsad to Junagadh Circle as Chief Conservator of Forests.

Aradhana Sahu, IFS (GJ-RR-2003) has been appointed as Chief Conservator of Forests, Wildlife Circle, Gandhinagar, relieving Dr. Sandeep Kumar of additional charge. She will also take over as Director, GEER Foundation, Gandhinagar.

Dr. K. Ramesh, IFS (GJ-RR-2003) is now the Chief Conservator of Forests, Ahmedabad Social Forestry Circle, Gandhinagar, with additional charge of Conservator of Forests, Godhra Social Forestry Circle.

Dr. K. Sasikumar, IFS (GJ-RR-2005) has been transferred to Gandhinagar as Project Director, PMU-PERG. He will also oversee Forest Protection, Gandhinagar, and Mehsana Social Forestry Circle.

Dr. B. Suchindra, IFS (GJ-RR-2006) is now the Chief Conservator of Forests, Valsad Circle.

Dr. T. Karuppasamy, IFS (GJ-RR-2009) has taken over as Conservator of Forests, Social Forestry, Gandhinagar.

Nisha Raj, IFS (GJ-RR-2012) has been appointed as Joint Managing Director, Gujarat State Forest Development Corporation, Vadodara.

Dr. Sunil Kumar Berwal, IFS (GJ-RR-2014) is now Deputy Conservator of Forests, Marine National Park Division, Jamnagar, with an additional charge of Jamnagar Division.

Neeraj Kumar, IFS (GJ-RR-2016) will hold the additional charge of Principal, Gujarat Forest Rangers College, Rajpipla.

Akshay Joshi, IFS (GJ-RR-2016) will handle additional responsibilities for Porbandar Division.

Abhay Kumar Singh, IFS (GJ-RR-2017) has been transferred to Valsad Social Forestry Division.

Sachin Gupta, IFS (GJ-RR-2018) has been moved to Vyara Division, Vyara, and will oversee the Forest Training Centre, Kakrapar.

Lokesh Bhardwaj, IFS (GJ-RR-2020) has been appointed as Deputy Conservator of Forests, Valsad (North) Division.

Promotions:

Raj Sandeep, IFS (GJ-RR-2007) has been promoted to Chief Conservator of Forests, Gandhinagar Circle and will oversee the Working Plan, Gandhinagar.

Puneet Nayyar, IFS (GJ-RR-2010) is now Conservator of Forests, Surat Circle, with the Chief Conservator post downgraded to his grade.

R. Dhanpal, IFS (GJ-RR-2010) has been promoted as Conservator of Forests, Development & Management, Gandhinagar.

Dr. Ram Ratan Nala, IFS (GJ-RR-2011) has been promoted to Conservator of Forests, Junagadh Wildlife Circle.

Anand Kumar, IFS (GJ-RR-2011) has been promoted as Conservator of Forests, Bharuch Social Forestry Circle, with additional responsibilities for Working Plan, Surat.

Dr. Shobhita Agrawal, IFS (GJ-RR-2011) has been given a proforma promotion as Conservator of Forests, continuing her deputation at the Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change in New Delhi.

Sawant Minal Mahadheo, IFS (GJ-RR-2021) has been promoted to Deputy Conservator of Forests, Surat Social Forestry Division.

Vikas Yadav, IFS (GJ-RR-2021) has been promoted to Deputy Conservator of Forests, Gir (East) Division, Dhari.

Dheeraj Kumar, IFS (GJ-RR-2021) has been promoted to Deputy Conservator of Forests, Surat Division.

Suresh Kumar Meena, IFS (GJ-RR-2021) has been promoted to Deputy Conservator of Forests, Anand Social Forestry Division.
