Rachna Shah Assigned Additional Charge of Two Key Departments
Shah gets charge of two more departments - Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances and the Department of Pensions and Pensioners’ Welfare

Rachna Shah (IAS: 1991: KL), currently serving as Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training, has been given additional charge of two key departments — the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances and the Department of Pensions and Pensioners’ Welfare.
The appointment, effective from May 1 to May 9, 2025, comes in view of the leave of V Srinivas (IAS: 1989: RJ), who holds charge of both departments.
The order was part of a series of notifications regarding appointments and recommendations issued on Wednesday.
Shah has earlier served as Secretary - Textiles and as additional secretary in the ministry of commerce.
Born in Uttar Pradesh, she is a post-graduate in business economics from Delhi University. She also has experience of working in ministries like science and technology and corporate affairs.
