Punjab Govt Transfers 8 IAS, 88 PCS Officers

Rubinderjit Singh Brar was appointed as the additional chief executive officer of the Punjab Bureau of Investment Promotion

In a major administrative reshuffle, the Punjab government has transferred 96 officers, including eight IAS and 88 PCS officers, after state governor Gulab Chand Kataria approved the order.

According to the order, 2020-batch IAS officer Rajdeep Singh Brar has been appointed as additional deputy commissioner (urban development), Bathinda. 

He will also serve as the additional chief administrator of the Bathinda development authority. Brar replaces Narinder Singh. 

Rubinderjit Singh Brar was appointed as the additional chief executive officer of the Punjab Bureau of Investment Promotion. He will also hold the charge of additional secretary, NRI affairs, and additional secretary, local govt. 

Meanwhile, Kritika Goyal was posted as divisional magistrate, Mehal Kalan. The services of Rakesh Kumar Meena were placed at the disposal of the department of local government for posting as joint commissioner, municipal corporation, Bathinda, relieving Jaspal Singh Brar, PCS, of the additional charge.

Divya P, a 2022-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as additional deputy commissioner (rural development), Jalandhar. 

Vivek Kumar Modi, who is also a 2022-batch officer, was posted as additional deputy commissioner (general), Barnala. 

Krishna Pal Rajpoot was appointed as additional deputy commissioner (rural development), Ferozepur, while Davy Goyal was appointed as additional deputy commissioner (general), Muktsar.

This reshuffle is a part of routine administrative realignment to strengthen governance, especially in urban development and rural administration segments across the districts in Punjab. 

The updated postings are effective as per the official notification issued by the state government.

Earlier, the Punjab government had carried out a major administrative reshuffle and transferred 20 IAS and six PCS officers. 

The changes included the transfer of four Deputy Commissioners--Patiala, Ropar, Nawanshahr and Barnala.

Senior IAS officer Ajit Balaji Joshi had been appointed Secretary, Elections (Local Bodies Wing).
