Pawan Yadav Appointed Private Secretary to Home Minister

The earlier Private Secretary Saket Kumar has been moved to the position of Joint Secretary in the commerce ministry

The Government of India has appointed Shri Pawan Yadav, IAS (MN:2014), as the Private Secretary to the Minister for Home Affairs & Cooperation Amit Shah.

An official memorandum issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) confirmed that the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved Yadav’s appointment for a tenure lasting until April 2, 2027, or co-terminus with the Minister’s tenure.

As part of this appointment, the ACC has also curtailed Yadav’s tenure as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs under the Central Staffing Scheme.

The earlier Private Secretary Saket Kumar ( IAS Bihar cadre 2009 ) who served from 2019 as Shah's PS, has been moved to the position of Joint Secretary in the commerce ministry

The appointment, effective from the date of assumption of office, has been communicated to key government offices.
