Pankaj Joshi Appointed Chief Secy, Gujarat

The Gujarat government on Friday elevated Pankaj Joshi, a 1989-batch Gujarat-cadre IAS officer, to the post of Chief Secretary.

He has been serving as additional chief secretary of the state. Joshi, an avid soccer fan will replace incumbent Raj Kumar, who retires on January 31. 

Once Kumar retires, Joshi will be the senior most officer in the Gujarat government.
