The Union Government has approved senior-level appointments in the National Testing Agency (NTA) under the Department of Higher Education, with the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) clearing the appointment of senior officers Anuja Bapat (ISS) and Ruchita Vij (IRS) as Joint Secretaries in NTA for a tenure of five years.

The appointments involve temporary upgradation of vacant DS/Director-level posts to the rank of Joint Secretary for an initial period of two years. The move is aimed at strengthening governance and institutional capacity within the examination body.

In another order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), IRS officer Akash Jain and IA&AS officer Aditya Rajendra Bhojgadhiya have been appointed as Joint Directors in NTA on a lateral shift basis.

Their appointments are expected to reinforce the agency’s administrative and operational framework as NTA continues to handle increasing responsibilities related to national-level entrance examinations.
